How can i enlist under the mos 8811 in the marine corps?

would it help if i currently am a wildland firefighter?

1)  unless you're enlisting into the reserves you don't get to pick your specific MOS.

2)  I looked at a MOS chart and don't see that MOS, but 8000 series MOSs are secondary MOSs and not MOSs that you can enlist into.

3)  No prior experiance that you bring will help you get a MOS

8811 is an MOS, and yes, it is Firefighter, and no, other than showing interest, being a wild-land firefighter will not necessarily qualify you for 8811. You may also be interested in  Aircraft Firefighting and Rescue Specialist, 7051, which is the Primary MOS.

Just go tell a Recruiter, he/she will do the rest, to see IF you are qualified, if a slot is open, but, even though you can enlist for the specific job, keep in mind... the needs of the Country, and The Corps, come first.
