  1. start bye boxing everyone you seen and say see if you learnt boxing that wouldent of happend.then ask then if they want lesson then run away. run awak fast

  2. You could say that it'll teach discipline and self-control to the local delinquents and keep them off the streets.  It'll help meet new friends and create a better community spirit if everyone has some sort of common grounds, even if they're not a fan of boxing a successful establishment is a part of the community to be proud in.

  3. A boxing gym will benefit young people in the area, get them into a sport which promotes respect, determination, dedication and good sportsmanship. Many boxing clubs all over the country have helped to keep kids off the street and out of trouble. It's given them a goal to focus on, keeps them fit and many gyms will not tolerate boxing to be used in altercations other than in cases of self defence.

I'm sure there was a report released a while back regarding a community in the UK which saw many youths on the street getting up to no good. An initiative was set up and introduced a boxing gym. The number of reported crimes and anti-social behaviour dropped. Maybe you could do a search on Google to see if you can find the report?

  4. Call your local paper and tell them you're opening the gym to give local kids somewhere to channel their energy and aggression. If you're having a grand opening, make sure the local media are invited.

Explain to everyone -- media, local community leaders, etc -- that you think it's important kids have somewhere to go to keep them off the streets, and point out that learning boxing teaches people important lessons about discipline, patience and learning to control emotions.

Make sure you support other local community groups when the gym gets going. Get your people doing sponsored runs, carwashes -- anything that shows the good that your gym is doing. See if the local schools will let you do a talk on how things like boxing gyms help the community.

Good luck, it's a job worth doing.
