ok....i just was told yesterday that my license is suspended. the DMV says it's due to a late payment for a ticket. the first time i sent the payment, it was mailed back to me saying it was the wrong method of payment( this happened twice). the third time i sent it in, they sent it back noting the fine had increased. then i sent the requested amount.

the DMV told me to go to the court house to get a release form....i did and i was sent to the DMV office where i paid a reenstatement fee. i tried getting a new insurance policy and realized it went up by $100.what's annoying is, they say the suspension is going to stay in my records for 5 years!!

I want to talk to the judge about this but i am not sure how to go about it. i would prefer not to use a lawyer.

at least i want to try.

thank

p.s: i wasn't notified. i was told they sent me a mail but it was sent back because the address they have on file for me.

thanks once more.

  1. You need to go to court and ask to speak to a judge.  The fact that they sent notice to an old address (not updating your current address) will not be in your favor!

  2. Suck it up and speak to a lawyer for advice. There may be an avenue to help you with this but don't bank on it.

  3. I guess  you should have paid on time. Live with it.
