  1. Here is a site, click on the state, then county, then search, when their name comes up, their register number should be among the info, hope this helps. https://www.vinelink.com/vinelink/initMa...

  2. Is it possible that the inmate you're trying to locate has yet to be placed in the BOP system? Sometimes when one is sentenced to prison, they go to several other prisons first, before their final destination. A friend of mine was sentenced to a state prison, but was in county prisons for a few months before going to the final stop.. Seems I couldn't look him up until he actually moved in to that facility  You can try writing to them. Be sure to include  the inmate's name (including middle name/initial),  date of birth or approximate age at time of incarceration, race, and approximate dates in prison.

    Federal Bureau of Prisons

    Attn: Inmate Locator

    320 First St., N.W.

    Washington, DC 20534

  3. call your local law enforcement agency, they could point you in the right direction

  4. Go to FBOP.com and go to inmate locator then enter their first and last name and it should get you on the right track from there.
