How can i find and get rid of some kind of virus or program that takes over my desktop?

i just got rid of a virus but i think i missed something

there is something that changes my background to this blue screen that says that i have a virus and stuff and i cant get rid of it i keep scanning my computer but it shows up clean every time

also when i right click my desktop and go to properties to try to change my background the tad isnt even there so i know something is wrong

any1 know anything that might help me???

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Download, install, update and select Quick Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

If it's the 'joke-bluescreen.c' virus:

1. Open Task Manager and kill the active lphcp*********.exe process

2. Delete (SHIFT+DELETE) all the temporary files from C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Local Settings\Temp

3. Delete (SHIFT+DELETE) the following files from C:\windows\system32: phcp********.bmp, lphcp********.exe and blphcp********.scr. Get them by sorting the files in C:\windows\system32 by the 'last-modified date'.
