  1. mary kay. the ladies there are very polite and they are very good at matching make up and skintone

  2. You should try foundation on the back of your hand when testing out, this way you can find out if it blends in with your skin tone.

The best tip I've ever had however is to blend a little foundation into your jawbone area and a line shouldn't show, it should blend with the the colour of your skin on your face and neck.

    This should help - http://www.wildaboutmakeup.com/

But the best way to learn is just to keep practicing and experimenting yourself.

  3. Talk to an assistant at your nearest makeup counter or sephora store, definitely ask about bareminerals, it works miracles and it's so easy to put  on.

  4. The easiest way to find out your foundation color is to talk to someone at a makeup counter or ulta/sephora. Depending on what kind of foundation you will be using, you may be able to try a sample either at the makeup counter or some companies like everyday minerals sends you a sample kit for the cost of shipping (it was only $3 for me). I just went to everydayminerals.com then custom kits and clicked on the free one. It tells you how to add the items. Before I chose the colors to order I went to another part of their site (I think FAQ) and it tells you which celebrities would wear what color so I looked up their photos to choose the ones closest to my color. If you will be using drugstore foundation you can sneak a little bit, you just open it and take a little dab like a drop and blend it into your cheek. If you can't tell where it was it's the right color, if you can it's not.

Youtube has a lot of makeup tutorials, all you have to do is search for "makeup tutorial" or for something specific "eyeliner tutorial"  or "mascara tutorial".

  5. try to wear foundation 1 color darker than ur original skin tone

  6. When I pick out foundation, I take a good look in the mirror before I go. Get your skin down to a science and think about everything. Do you have oily skin? Are you acne prone? Do you like powder or liquid? Depending on what your skin needs you'll have to decide between mineral foundation, powders, or liquids. Or just buy a little of everything and see what you like. As perfect as you want to get it the first time, makeup is all about trial and error. Once you've figured all that out, look at your skin and pick out all the undertones. For example, my skin is dark with red/orange/gold undertones, but my sister has the same base skin color with yellow/gold undertones, so she needs a yellower lighter foundation than I do. It's very confusing at first, but don't worry. I suggest going to a MAC and having them match you first. Buy foundation from there, and then bring it when you go to the drugstore so you can match with other brands. They don't let you test makeup at the store, but sometimes if there is a package that someone opened to try, or they don't seal the liquid foundation top, I take a few pumps and swipe it on my jawline to check. Not my hand or arm.

Putting on foundation is really simple. I just got my new issue of Seventeen and they have the best way to put it on so you look fresh, natural, and flawless. Wash your face so the makeup goes on smoothly. Wash your hands as well, you'll be using them for a minute. Pour some foundation into you hand, this only works with liquid. Dab your ring finger into it, and spread on your cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, your jawline and under your neck and around your eyes. Dampen a makeup sponge. Not sopping wet. Just wet enough that it feels slightly cold to the touch. Use like...5 drops of water on the sponge, or get it wet and ring it a couple of times. Use the sponge to blend it in all  in and get a flawless skin. No one will know. Add cream blush, top with powder blush, and then put a little illuminator on the top of the apple of your cheek for a dewy look.

If you need more help just ask = D and good luck with the makeup

  7. Go to sephora, they love too help XD okay i totally reccommend Clinique, it's the best makeup line ever and their foundation is awesome. Describe to the person what you want to hide, what your skin type is and she should find a good one for you then try it on to see if it's perfect.

here's their foundation page for reference ^^ on the top right part choose ur skin type but if you dont know what it is, just describe to the sephora person if it's dry, oily, normal, in all places or just some parts of your skin.

    hope i hlpd ;]
