How can i find info?

I'm thinking about putting my 4 yr old in a local day care during the day so i can work. how can i go about finding out info on the daycare itself to make sure its a safe place for my daughter. i hear so many horror story's about daycares & I'm nervous about it but i really have no other choice so how i can i research the daycare I'm interested in?? if i can make sure it's a safe place my mind would be at ease thanx : )

  1. Check with the governmental agency that licenses them.


  2. See if they have any issues pending and talk to other parents that go to that daycare. I think you can start with the Better Business Bureau in your area or they can direct you on how you can find out about a daycare.

  3. You use some common sense and make an appointment at the day care to take a tour, you ask questions, sitck around the parking lot and ask parents coming and going about the day care.  It's not brain surgery.
