How can i find my Father?

ok so i am 16. my mom had me at 17 and my father was not in the picture. now i am trying to find him. i have tried things in the comouter ans phone books and everything, but they all cost and stuff and i do not want to have to pay for a phone number or address, or even an e mail address. any advice?

Well first think to your self why do you want to meet him if he hasn't been in the picture? Are you looking for him to pop in and be super dad? If you really want to meet him ask your mom about his family then you can look up there number in the white pages for the city there in or the state. Then they should be able to give you a number to call. Your mom may even know it but she may be trying ot protect you because he hasn't been there for 16 years what makes you think he would now? I hate to be so brutally honest like that but it's the truth.

Okay, so I am assuming your mom has given you his name.  Now you need to ask her if he had any family, that may be an alternative.  Look in school yearbooks for him.  Ask her if she knows what happened to him.  

Honestly you should be able to do a white pages search.  First go to yahoo and in the search box type in white pages and from there you can type in his first and last name.  That should give you all the people with that name for the entire USA and from there start narrowing down.  You could also try googling him and see what comes up.

Good luck.  Just be careful he may not even know you exist so try not to get your hopes up for a joyful meeting.  I do hope it turns out well, and best of luck.
