How can i find my dad and other brothers and sisters?

My mom and dad separated when I was born. She told me he was died, but every since I was a teenager I got this feeling that he was not dead I had been having dreams that were strong like it was they were telling me that he is not dead. Him and my mother had a bad relationship before I was born she said he was abusive to her and cheated on her. I know that is bad but I still want to meet him. I also have brothers and sisters that I have never seen I feel empty inside like something is missing in my life. I just want to know them even if they don't expect me I still want to know them. I can't afford a detective so were can go for free? She did not give his birthday or social just his name and where he was from . He is not even on my birth certificate. I have tried the internet but some places want you to pay. Is there a free website to find people?

You might also try in anywho your Dad's last name only. Then call everyone with his last name, explaining who you are and your phone number. Ask if they know him. Good luck.

Are these brothers and sisters or half siblings? If you know that you have relatives, then who ever told you this has to have a clue to start you off on. Sometimes adults think that they are protecting their children by lying, but they are not. If your mom knows that your dad has passed, then she knows where he is buried or knows who knows where he is buried at...I would start in the death certificates, they are open to the public. I bet your mom knows...if she stays quiet, I'm sure you have relatives close by that can start with some informations....Shame on your mom! This with held information is not her decision to make for you.
