There are tons of websites you can go to in order to get an approximate date of ovulation.  There are also many physical signs that can tell you the same, such has basal body temperature, cervical mucuos and cervix position.  It typically occurs 14 days before the first day of the start of your next period.  Keep in mind though that not all women have the same cycle and they may ovulate early or later than that.  Keep an eye on the physical signs in conjunction with the date and you should be all good.  As well if you want an easier way to do it there are ovulation kits you can purchase as well.

I have been tracking my cycle for 3 months prior to the month that we were going to start 'trying.'  We started trying this July and I just found out that I'm pregnant, so we conceived our first month trying.  

I tracked EVERYTHING on mymonthlycycle.com  and I guess it was error proof.  I don't have a regular cycle but it averaged everything for me and I guess it worked out.

Start sexual intimacy during your period or directly after and continue every three or four days throughout the month. This way the sperm is laying in wait for your body to release the egg. This will increase your chances on conception. Best wishes, G
