  1. Google - what is my IP address - and then the site comes up, not sure what the website is but my IP is in the middle of Ireland even though I am closer to Dublin!!!!

  2. Enter cmd into the run commands and enter text 'ipconfig' and press enter on your keyboard.

  3. start, run type cmd

    then type  ipconfig

  4. Shields up gives you your IP info and also allows you to check that your firewall is working correctly.

  5. Go to:  http://www.ipchicken.com

There are various other ways too, but that is by far the easiest way.  You can also go to the Start menu, go to run and type in "cmd"; when the box opens "ipconfig" to get your IP address as well as a hold host of other info. Incidentally, you can also do the same thing, but instead of typing ipconfig you can type "ping www.bbc.co.uk" (no quote marks) to check that your Internet connection isn't down.

In case IP Chicken ever goes down you can also try:

    http://whatismyipaddress.com

    http://whatismyip.com

    http://www.ip-adress.com

    http://www.whatismyip.org

    I hope that helps dude!

  6. Easy, go to http://whatismyip.com/. That will tell you your WAN IP. If you want your internal network ip look through you networking settings.

  7. go to your start menu, control panel

    then click network and sharing

    under connection..click center, view status

click details, your computers ip address is in the valu colum..hope this helps!

  8. www.ip-adress.com   has all kinds of goodies on there for ip addresses.
