this afternoon i saw that the lid to the tank was open, and the snake isn't in it. it is a ball constrictor, and i assume it goes into small spaces, but i can't find it anywhere.

  1. Try puttin food somewhere and wait for it to come out

  2. dust the room with flour, for tracking its movements, place masking tape upside-down along the baseboards. it works like a glue trap. they get tangled up in it(i hope it's still small). put a food item in the middle of the room. check any dark areas, as mentioned by others.

my 8 1/2 foot BCI escaped once. found her in the crawlspace under my little brother's room.

  3. Hmmmm. They like to hide I usually found mine under the couch. One time I did not realize it but the bottom ( cabinet) was not solid and toward the bottom of the floor there was a nice opening and he jammed himself in there. I had to call the neighbor to come help me extract him from the sink ............................but that was the day I met what I think is my soulmate at my neighbors house........Too much info but good luck and look they are escape artists and love to cram themselves in small places

  4. Woops.

    Put a heat mat out.

The best option is to put a bowl of superworms or a pinkie in a bowl.

  5. My ball python got out and we lost him for 3 whole months.  He musta been drinking the cats water to stay alive.  How I found him...My cat had this electronic mouse toy that turns on when you touch it.  It lights up and makes noise.  It had gotten kicked under the stove and forgotten.  In the middle of the night we heard it going off and went and checked...Nakey was curled up around it under the stove trying to choke it to death lol.  My advice would be to put out some noisy toys that are sensitive to the touch.

  6. same thing happened to me. look under refridgerators and washingmachines, place where theres heat. the food trick doesnt work. my ball got out and i didnt find here till almost 4 months later.
