  1. My sister, mom, and her mom were all adopted, plus I have a half brother I've never met, and I have used this site to search for him and my sister has used it to search for her birthmother.

    http://registry.adoption.com/

I don't know if this is what you mean, but in case it is, good luck.

  2. Need more details... Can't  you give him a call and ask him to come over? Or have you never seen him? Once you know his name, you can find him via the net or any Information Centre.

He's legal now, so you can do a creddit check.

  3. Each states laws are different as to what age determines adulthood.  Here is a link for you to check the laws in the state he was adopted and it will tell you what options you have as a birth parent to search for him.

    http://local.reunion.adoption.com/

Most states have a mutual consent registry and I believe all states allow you to put a consent to contact letter in the adoption records should he come in search of info about you.

also contact the adoption agency if you used one to put a consent to contact in the file there.  Ask them of they can at minimum give you any non-id information regarding the family that adopted him.  This info will be useful for searching as you obtain more details.

Your first step should be to register with

isrr.net  (not .com  paid site)  This is the largest reunion registry in the world.

There are many online registries that you can now sign up with.

    registry.adoption.com

    g's adoption registry

    findme.org

look for state sponsored as well as state specific private sites as well.

Some states birth records are online or available to searchers (CA, TX, OH, KY, NC, MN) and this makes searching easier because you can narrow the search with few details.

Since he is 18, public records online will be difficult to locate since he has not established much credit.

    Good luck

  4. ok i have no idea where you are but when i found my birthmother what i did was go the the courthouse in the county i was adopted through and applied to the adoption registry. its in the birth, death, marriage license dept.

they entered me into the registry and matched me up to her, she had registered too.

i do know in michigan, the original birth cert, ( the one you signed when he was born ) and my birth cert my parents have has the same file number. that is the biggest tool they use to match people up.

if he hasnt registered, then i dont know

    good luck

  5. well, i was adopted out also.  my birthmom tried to find me at 18 but they told her that she had to wait till i was 21.  man it the best experience meeting her.  you will enjoy it so much.

  6. There are lots of websites that can help you. Google it . GL!!!

  7. Try to find out his social security number.  He should be getting ready to vote soon.  If his name changed you should be able to find out his location from there.
