  1. I traced our property by using the county's deed books and old land abstracts, these are all public records. The old deeds and info used were usually taken from old family bibles and the always included info on family members.  Have fun, it is really interesting research.

  2. Public records would determine who the previous owner of your house was. You can search for the title information regarding your property at your local government offices. Anything else you wanted to know would probably be known by the neighbors. Most neighborhoods have at least 2 to 3 families that live there indefinately and know everything there is to know about your house.

Other information about the former occupants might require the services of a private investigator who can access items like police reports to see if a crime was ever committed there or some other incident involving police activity.

  3. i dont know sorry

  4. The local tax assessor should have that information.

  5. Go to your county courthouse. The old deeds are public record and you can see who the old owners were. You need to know the legal address of the property.

  6. I would go to the library or public records that way you can do some research and see when and who your home belonged to before you bought the place.
