How can i find out how much my copay is?

the other day i went to the doctor and they asked me how much my copay was. they've never asked that before and i had no clue so they didn't charge me one. how can i find out how much it is? i have insurance through humana if that makes a difference.

  1. If it's not on the insurance card, call the toll free number on the card and ask.


  2. CALL THE 80# ON YOUR CARD- ALSO THE CO-PAY IS USUALLY MORE FOR SPECIALISTS

  3. It could be on the front of your insurance card.  Or you can call the number on the back of your insurance card, and they will tell you.

  4. It generally tells somewhere on the insurance card. It might be in code, though. For example, my card says something like OV/PR/Emer $10/$10/$50, which means that an Office Visit is $10, a Prescription is $10, and an Emergency Room visit is $50.

    If it doesn't tell on the card, just call the number on the back of the card and ask them. (That's really what your doctor's office should have done when you didn't know.)
