  1. HELLO

    DEPENDS ON YOUR RIGHT FOOT?

YOU FAIL TO SAY WHAT YEAR AND ENGINE SIZE AND TYPE?

IF YOU GET 35 MPG THEN 463/35 = 13.2 GALLONS

    @ £5 PER GALLON = £66

AGAIN I ASSUME YOUR MPG, DO YOU KNOW YOUR MPG?

I ASSUME THE PRICE OF PETROL, IS IT CHEAPER OR MORE EXPENSIVE WHERE YOU LIVE?

  2. If yours is a 2.0 Lr Golf gti car it should ideally give a combined mileage of 34.87 MPG . This means you may require 13.3 Gallons of Petrol. You can convert this in to money terms by multiplying with present rates.

You can also find out actual consumption in you car by filling up to full tank and setting the odometer to zero.

After running the car for  30 miles or so again fill up to full tank.

    Use the following calculation.

Amount of petrol filled up in the second time to reach the full tank level  =  "A' gallons

Mileage covered as shown by the Odometer =  "B" Miles

    Fuel consumption =  B/A Miles/Gallon
