Your best bet it to google it!

It depends where you have gotten the company name from, if it is from a random e-mail, it is more than likely a scam! We get a lot of scams that come from North Africa mainly known as 419 scams so do be careful.

If you are unsure of the company ask for some form of ID from it to make sure it is a registed company and has been checked out. All companies have to list themselves as either Private Ltd, Ltd or Public etc etc.
