  1. At the link provided above, the site says accredited by SACS which stands for (see my response to your similar question): Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

  2. Nate - seriously, TX doesn't require accreditation like OH does.  You could legally homeschool through resources at the library, and they don't have a problem with it.  They do not require you to submit any of the paperwork that you had to in OH; if you're not pulling out of a public school in TX (one that is actually located there), you're not even required to tell them that you live there or that you homeschool.  They keep absolutely no records of homeschoolers, and only require kids pulling out to inform them so that they don't get picked up for truancy.

I live just over the border in Oklahoma, and our laws are very similar.  You can homeschool by any program, method, and curriculum you want, and the state of Texas does not bat an eye.

You can enroll at Ashworth - the state of TX will not give you trouble in any way, shape, or form.  You are considered a private school, in and of yourself, and are able to make your own decisions regarding coursework and curriculum.  TX has absolutely NO accreditation requirements.

Here is a link to TX's requirements: http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?St...

    Hope that helps!

  3. Here's a page about their accreditation:

    http://www.ashworthuniversity.edu/progra...

  4. Contact your state office of higher education--just do a web search with "texas department education" as the terms.

  5. ALL high schools in Texas are accepted. An online high school located outside of Texas isn't any different.

Why do you think you need accreditation so badly??? You must've asked at least 5 questions in here about it, in addition to emails. Please listen carefully: TEXAS DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ACCREDITATION EVEN IF OHIO DID. If your parents are demanding accreditation, tell them it's just a completely different system, almost like going to a different country. It just doesn't work that way in Texas. An online school that you would be signed up with would be a private school you are enrolled with and that's that. Texas doesn't care one way or another about accreditation.

In the end, you should be more concerned about the EDUCATION then somebody's approval of the program.
