How can i find out if someone was in prison on a certain date?

If you know what county the person was in at the time you think they were in prison, then go to the county records search and search for criminal and civil records by name.

I live in Pasco County Florida, I do a search on Pasco County Florida records search in google and go to the offical court clerks page and look there.  It says you are in the UK, so not sure if county or state records are the same there.  You should be able to go to the court house and to the records department and do a search on their computers.  Good Luck
