How can i find out if the coin i have got is of any value,its i believe a copper coin from Carolvs 11 .?

on the front it says royal sovereign 1637 to 1696 with a galleon.on the back is a picture of Carolvs 11

  1. try to find a coin collector and see what they offer.


  2. Sadly most coins are only worth their mineral content.

  3. You can go to a place that buys & sells coins and gold.  They will be able to tell you.

  4. go to your bank, they will tell you - or the post office might tell you.

  5. Look up Whats My Coin Worth on google. There are a lot of sites that help identify how much coins are worth.

  6. it should have some value,even though copper prices have risen i cant see that being worth much,but you never know it could be rare.

  7. Well Charles II (Carolus) a V back then was used as a U. was King of Spain from 1665-1700. he was born Nov. 6 1661 and was deformed and mentally retarded. I have no idea what the date 1637 has to do with him at all. You have a medal of some kind not a coin. there are no dual date coins from that period of time. In order to answer your question I would need goo photos or scans of both sides so I could research it.
