How can i find out some info like recent phone numbers if i have the address for someone? Its in germany.?

I am trying to help my boyfriend find his dad we live in the us and his dad is in germany somewhere we have a current address we think that he last wrote from but can't find the number. If you could please give me some ideas?

You can either go to two websites:

or

www.dastelefonbuch.de

or write to the town hall in the department of "Einwohnermeldeamt" and then you should be able to get the answer to your question.
