How can i find out the recent deaths near Springwood QLD Australia?

I think a friend of mine that lives near Springwood QLD Australia has died within the past 6 months of this year.

I live in Canada. How can i find out online if she has died? I only have her last name but that was the name she had before her divorce.

If anyone know of any nearby online newspapers Thanks.

The Funeral notice of a person from Springwood would almost certainly be placed in the classified Announcements section of the Courier Mail newspaper. In Australia, no Death notice is inserted in many cases, but there is nearly always a Funeral notice. Here is a link to the newspaper, but I haven't been able to work out how to look at past notices.
