Hard to ascertain as records of births were not high on the list in so many African communities or tribes.

Do you know when and how they left Africa?  Ship registries might be the best place to start. Again, it you knew when, it will narrow the search.

Also, hopefully, your ancestors didn't descent, rather descended. Unless they really did "fall" to earth.

Try familytreedna.com.  They do dna testing and you can test your father's line and your mother's line.  You then compare your results to others in their database.  You will match closest with others from the country you come from.  Also, certain dna markers are associated with different African countries.
