How can i find out where my dna geneology is from?

I read in a book that this guy had a dna swob test to come up with his genetic make up and he found out that most of his make up was from eastern europe. Any ideas what this is about/how much it costs?

my ex would know about that, i remember talking to him about it once and he said i think it was about 150 pounds. i thought that was bloody expensive just to find out where your from but hey, he seemed keen, dunno if he actually got it or not but i do remember him talking about it so i know it can be done and im sure thats what he said it cost.
