How can i find out where tesco stores were in 1960s-70s?

i am convinced that there was a tesco store in radcliffe manchester, but i have been told i am wrong. i think i'm right. how can i find out

Do Tesco  at Cheshunt in Herts  have records of their stores at that time.. They almost certainly have  but whether they are prepared to look it up for you I dont know...   Other wise  the rates records of the local council/
