  1. As you are searching the name of the person who owned that house in 1946 AD, others will be searching the name of the person who owned this very house in 2008 AD. A hint is sufficient for a wise. Don't worry, Be Happy.

  2. Go to your local Governmental office to the "Record of Deeds Department". They should be able to help you research the history of who owned the house and when. If the house is in the historical district, then you could use the library.

  3. Well ,try  going to the local city office or Borough council office.,

~ask when the house was built , look at owner ship details.

    ~rates records

    ~building consent records

    ~past electoral  roles.

~try visiting houses along the road

~eg neighbours might  know past owners details ,tenants details,

You  might be lucky & get answers easily,

~or you may find very  few people  know anything re -your house.

  4. You could go to the owners of the house now and they have all that information eer since the house was built.  Also maybe going to the court house and having the address they could look back and give you the same information.

  5. start with your tax pin # they should be able to give you a list of all owners with that number depending on how good the record keepers are....Also a hall of records or deed book in your county should have this info, if all else fails, you may have to search at the libary or possilby contact the Chamber of Commerce, they may all have historical info they can share with you.....
