How can i find what DVD drive has my computer?

I want to find this out on the computer and not to search in the internet

  1. click the start button

    move up to the control panel

    select system

    select device manager

    click on DVD/CDROM drives

    presto !

    hoila !

    euraka !


  2. Look at the DVD logo on the front it should tell you as part of the marketing hype on the drive or if you pull it out just read the sticker on top of the drive.

  3. start/control panel/performance and maintenance/system/hardware/device manager

    You will then see a list and dvd will be there somewhere.

    This is for XP but I'm sure Vista will be similar.

  4. Right click on my computer > Properties> Hardware> Device Manager> Click on DVD/CD Rom Drives.

    Thats the Easiest Way
