  1. yeah for about 10 bucks the nut inside the tank is reverse threaded lefty tighty righty loosy  takes about five minutes and a pair of channel locks or cresent wrench

  2. Yes you can.  Get one that's similar to the one you have.  Remember the nut that holds it on is a left had thread, so turn it to the right to loosen it.

  3. Fluidmaster makes a very nice universal replacement handle for cheap (chrome handle outside, plastic inside)

  4. YES........  a pair of pliers is all you need....Take the old one off remember  lefty loosey righty tighty ..  NOT THIS CASE  the threads are what are called left handed  So lefty tighty  righty loosey. Take the 2 peices to your local hardware store to match up and replace.......

  5. yes. just go to nearest hardware store and get a replacement .the clerk wil explain everything.  and while you are at it get a new flapper. these should be replaced at least every 2 years. these rubber flapper valves tend to go haywire. the rubber just goes caput.both items together should not cost much over $5.

good luck, more power to you for tackling it yourself.

  6. Yes.  You can buy a replacement flush handle at the hardware store or builder's supply.

Note - the nut inside the tank is reverse threaded.

  7. yes it is, go to home depot, you'll need a new one and theyre  cheap too.
