i have always had a sort of pooch at the bottom of my stomach like right below my belly button and i would really like to be able to flatten it out. its not like huge but the rest of my stomach is normal. i love my body but sometimes it will frustrate me when i wear tight clothes.

are there any simple stretches or exercises i can do to help it? and how long should i do that exercise each day and how often? i dont have a bar that i can use and i am a teenager so i probably wont be doing like yoga or pilates. and please don't tell me cardio will do it cause i've gone months where i had soccer 6 days a week and i didn't see a difference.

all answers are appreciated and if you have had experience with this problem and used any exercises can you please tell me how long it took to see results?

  1. Hi,

Here are some exercises you can do at home!  That way you don't have to go to a gym or yoga or whatever else. ;)

First of all you can lay on a bed or carpeted floor like your going to do situps... BUT, not a usual situp, you need to situp by bending at your waist and meeting your legs with your upper body.  Understand?  Like you should look like a book closing, or like the letter V.  Try to do 3x25.

And also lay on your back lift your legs just barely off the surface and start paddling them up and down. Try to do 3x30 seconds of pattling.

Do this every day.  And it shouldn't take you but 15 minutes!

NOTE!  These exercises are only for your lower belly, I would recommend you exercise all your stomach together, if you want I can give you more exercises for the rest of your stomach. ;)

If you do these exercises faithfully, I promise you'll be satisfied in a month.

    Good luck.

  2. The most effective ab exercise that I've ever done is the bicycle.  It's a pretty easy exercise, but will leave you feeling sore if you do it correctly.  I've pasted a link below that should help you if you do not know how to do the exercise.  You also don't have to worry about any exercise equipment!  Remember not to pull on your neck... good luck!

  3. Blade gave good suggestions for ab exercises.  Another vital spot to exercise for controlling the lower ab appearance is the lower back.  Doing hyperextension stretches or reps can help you strengthen your lower back while improving your posture, which will help give you a slimmer & more confident look.  Doing ab exercises without working on your back sets you up for injury & cheats you of your potential to have a slimmer looking waist line.
