How can i gain 25 pounds of muscle mass?

what diet should i be on to gain 25 pounds of weight and muscle? currently im 138 pounds and 5'9... i feel like a skinny little twig. id like to be 165 AT LEAST. id appreciate ANY input whatsoever because this has been on my mind. thanks.

  1. If you want to put on muscle you need to exercise. To increase muscle mass you need to tear muscle fibres which means handling the heaviest weights you can manage, doing 6-8 reps, rest and repeat.

    After a session in which you tear muscle you need to eat protein to repair the fibres (as well as carbs for the energy). Protein drinks are handy for this. The muscle fibres should grow back bigger and stronger, although you should be prepared to experience some pain!!

    IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are not used to weight training than be sure to get advice on correct warm ups and lifting techniques!! You do not want to end up with back injuries or other problems as this will really cramp your style no matter how muscular you are!

    I know this website with some good muscle building articles from fitness trainers.  it's http://fitness4u.sitesled.com  THere is a insane muscle gain report on the right column you can download for free.  I actually bought the no nonsense muscle book that's on the bottom left column.  It really gave me all the info I needed to know to gain the muscle.  This guy is really motivational and knows his stuff.  It's got dvd's included too so you can see how to do the workouts.  He use to be skinny too.  Read his page.  It's alot cheaper then buying a personal trainer.
