Question:

How can i gain 6-10 pounds? What should i eat and how much?

I'm 14 years old. I'm 5'3 105 pounds. I'm a very STRICT VEGAN. I use to be chubby before i became a vegan 3 years ago. Now i'm kind of tall and bony. People who know what their talking about please answer. And i'm not going to stop being a vegan

  2. So many people are trying to LOOSE weight that it's hard for someone like us trying to GAIN weight to find help.

    1- Muscle weighs more than fat. If you exercise and eat enough calories, you should gain weight. This method of gaining weight wont make you look less bony though.

    2- you're in the 'growth-spurt' age. Many people your age naturally loose a lot of weight as they grow. You might have just completed a growth spurt, and will naturally gain a little pudge in the next few years, only to have it disappear in your next growth spurt.

    3- make sure you're getting all the nutrition you need. It's easy to say you're vegan, but it could just mean that you're subsisting mostly on wheat or soy, and not a balanced diet. Diversify your diet, eating lot of healthy vegetables and as wide a variety of plant foods as you can get a hold of.

    4- it's been said before, but nuts are a great resource for vegans. They have lots of fats (high energy = more calories that your body can utilize for growth and whatever 'padding' you want), nuts also have protein, and tree nuts can have lots of good minerals because their roots grow deep.

  5. I would say dont worry about it. When I was 14 years old I was 5"4 and I weighed 100 pounds. As time passes by you gain a bit of weigh on your own. Now I am 5"5 and I weigh 120

  6. You are not that underweight at all but I would say to eat more nuts and breads.

    You can also try to gain muscle.
