I'm 16 years old. I stand nearly 6"0 but i weigh only 125 pounds. I realize how skinny that sounds but there is nothing i can do about. I eat probably more than an overweight person but i never gain an ounce. I'd like to gain some muscle more than anything. Any suggestions?

  1. d**n you are skinny. i weigh a 144 pounds and i am 5'9" my answer is go to the gym and get a peronal trainer.

  2. for the wight gain in muscle you need to slow your metabolism down so the protein you eat has time to be absorbed by your muscles to do this eat b-vitamins like brown bread and brown pasta etc.

you should consume about 150 g of protein a day to allow for muscle repair and growth, eat an additional 1000 calories daily in the form of complex carbs e.g. pasta potatoes this will aid weight gain.

weight training sets of 4 reps of 8-12

e-mail if you want me to write you a split

  3. go to the gym and do 3 full body workouts for 45-60 minutes.

eat a lot of protein 1.5 grams per pound of body weight

remember to eat clean, healthy foods, not junk food.

buy some muscle gainer online or at a health food store like GNC

  4. You need to lift weights to gain muscle.  You also need to figure out how many calories you normally consume to maintain that weight.  Then you need to eat a diet that gives you more calories than you burn in a day while working out.  You should eat about 1-2 g of protein per pound of body weight.  Make sure your diet has enough carbs to maintain your energy so that your body doesn't burn the protein for energy and instead uses it to build muscle.  Having a small meal, usually a shake, consisting of 40 g of simple carbs and about 15-20 g of protein within the first 45 minutes of a workout is incredibly important.  You also need to make sure that you do consume some fat in you diet.  It's energy rich.  Make sure your carbs and fat are good versions, though.

  5. eat lot of beef ,pork ,eggs, cottage cheese , cakes and ice creams.

    take protein supplements

drink beer + eat beef +pork

    drink milk

    do mild exercise

16 years is a growing age your body concentrates on growth ie increase in height.

once it was done. ur body concentrates on your muscle mass ,so don't expect sudden increase in  muscle mass.
