How can i get 5.1 surround sound on xbox 360 elite?

Question

my xbox is connected via a hdmi cable, my tv and xbox both have a optical output, although my 5.1 system dosnt it has the jack leads u use for pc, center(yellow) line-in(green) and bass(blue) .

how would i be able to connect this to my tv for the best possible sound quality, my tv has rca ports for the same channel the hdmi is on(aswell as the optical output), thanks =)

well I dont know much about tv connectio for what youare wanting but i know that you can get a converter cable for the red and white wires to connect computer speakers so if you have some nice com speakers than they'll work. you can get one cheap on ebay
