  1. try a catapult

  2. ok, i have 4 younger sisters.

    and tonsssss of little cousins.

so what i do, is make them look attractive.

make it look like something they WANT to eat.

and also, disract them while they eat.

so they will take their mind off it.

  3. Tell him that if he doesn't eat green veggies he will get sick and die.

  4. I wouldn't worry too much if he eats some veg & lots of fruit, but if you really want him to eat it then I have a couple of ideas

you could say he can't leave the table until he eats it - or ban him from playing with his favourite toy etc

or for a more positive way to solve it, give him dessert if he eats his veg

    hope I helped

  5. Okay - cabbage is a good green veg.

But dont boil it - it never does it justice.

Shred it fine with a sharp knife until it is like ribbons.

Put in the wok with some butter, a couple of tablespoons of oil and some Bouillon (you can buy this in powder form or in cube form) if you dont have bouillon crumble in an oxo cube and a bit of garlic if you have it.  Then stir fry it for about ten minutes.  Its delicious.

Brussels Sprouts - cut these in half and do the same.  When you have finished stir frying them, and there is a bit of 'sauce' around them from the k**b of butter and oil, add two tablespoons of single cream or coconut milk/cream and a sprinkling of coriander - schwartz is best.

Broccoli - bring to the boil, simmer for five minutes, drain and add something from your store cupboard - whatever takes your fancy.

Some of the things I add are :

Baharat - a lovely eastern spice bought in all supermarkets

Ras al Hanout - same as above.

    Coriander seeds

    Garam masala

All it needs is a sprinkle, shake it about in the pan, add a k**b of butter or a tablespoon of oil and bobs yer uncle.

    It really peps vegetables up.

The other trick is to make the portion tiny - just a spoonful.  But at least they are getting the greenery.

My lot wont eat boiled cabbage any more!

    Good luck.

  6. My mom had the same problem. What she started to do is give me V8 drinks - The fusion and passion- in glass without me seing where she got it from. Me being curious i dind't ask her what i was and drank it. I didn't know what i was drinking so i did not say it tastes nasty just because the label said tomatoes or spinach.

Something else she used to do is hide the green vedgetables into meatballs. She would finely chop them sometimes even fod process them and them mix them with the meat. I never figured it until i was 12.

  7. say it'z atually choclate  it juss lookz like a veg say that to him/her

  8. Make it more delicious.

  9. tell him it something else something he really likes or you can get a friend round serve lots of green veg and praise the other kid for eating the green veg and ignore the fuss he makes, he will be jealous and eat the green veg then praise him as well or wait till he grows out of it, i did

  10. If he's eating other vegtables then I don't think you need to worry too much. The only thing you can do is make them seem more appetising and not make an issue over it. Try blending it into a smooth soup.

  11. Put it all in a blender and turn it into a sauce. You can cram a whole lot of vegetables into a Tomato sauce, or even mix it into a smoothie. That's how I started eating them.

  12. well.., my 2yr old eat all kind of veggy. I did this, when he eat fried me, i'll put 1 small leave green vegy in it, so than he won't notice that. than, i'll let him hold  the little stem of green vegy so he will think that it's juz' a snack. Now, he's juz' eat it like usual.. I love it when he chews green veggy coz' a lot of kids dun like it.. But not my baby.. :)

Juz' try do what i've done.. Who knows the result.

  13. Well, the problem is, is that the older the child gets, and the longer he goes unexposed to vegetables, the more difficult it will be to introduce them in the future.  If you have health insurance, schedule an appointment with the doctor to see if there is a possibility that your  7yr old is not allergic to any foods.  If he isn't allergic, then there isn't any reason why he can't be forced to eat what you want him to.

I took a parenting class, and in it, we discussed that the correct thing to do for meals is to make one meal for the family, for example a casserole, and give the child an ultimatum...either they eat what is in front of them, or go hungry.  Don't give the child "seconds" on their favorite parts of supper until they eat everything on their plate, and definately do not allow any type of snack or dessert prior to their next meal if they have not eaten their vegetables.  There also isn't anything wrong with wrapping up and putting in the refrigerator what your child chose not to eat during the actual meal, and offering it to them when they complain they are hungry.

  14. If you have space for a garden, they say kids are more enthusiastic about eating the vegetables they grow. Have him grow some broccoli and spinach, zucchini, green peppers, whatever green vegs you want to see him eat. Or try container gardening indoors, same idea.

    Will he eat veggie pizzas?

What about stir-fries? Beef and broccoli, for example, or chicken and mixed vegs in a savory sauce. Chop the vegetables finely so they're easier to eat.

How about in soups? For example, you can make a flavorful, spicy tortilla soup with chicken and black beans and cheese that is partly pureed veggies.

Add small bits of tomatoes and broccoli to macaroni and cheese.

Get some old Popeye videos - Popeye was always saying how spinach made him strong. Then serve him some tasty spinach quiche. Don't laugh - that's how some little boys I babysat for got gooked on spinach and then got ME to try spinach!

Try exploring other cuisines. India has some fabulous vegetarian dishes. Go to a lunch buffet and grab a bit of everything for him to try.

Finally, it's not the end of the world if he doesn't eat green vegs. The nutrients they have can all be gotten from other foods. Most American kids protest eating vegs, then grow up and discover them. OTOH, you could threaten him with liver to get in those nutrients. ;D

  15. Tell him, whatever he wastes today, he wont get tomorrow. If he keeps wasting food, then thats how much less he will have to eat next time. Sound harsh? He'll get the message. Its time he learned.

  16. You could try putting it into something else - I make veggie spaghetti. I slice mushrooms, green peppers, and broccoli, stir fry them, and then mix in a jar of spaghetti sauce. Try different dips for things - peanut butter for celery, ranch dip for broccoli, cheese dip for peppers. Kids like to dip things! I also take all sorts of fruits, veggies, cheese, and meat and cut them up. Then, I form them into the shape of a face. For example, use grapes for eyes, broccoli for hair (or grate carrots in long strips for hair), tomato slices for a mouth, apple slices for ears, a piece of cheese for a nose, etc. My kids love "faces" for lunch! Good luck! :)

  17. Tell him

" boy if you want to grow tall and strong you better eat up those greens, or you'll be weak just like that one kid (think of a skinny weird child that he hates)...lol"

    or simply say "your grounded"

    thats what some folks do...lol
