Repeat phrases you hear from British people on TV. That's how I learn to do impersonations of people. Good examples are Simon Cowell or Eddie Izzard (you know them both in the US, right?)

Don't pronounce "r"s so strongly withing a word. As in beard - bea'd

Don't pronounce "t"s as "d"s within a word. Discriminaded - discriminated .
