Cariad is correct.  I have used the Online Certificate Application through the government, and my certificate was delivered in less than 2 weeks.

If you were born Ontario, getting one online is the quickest way.  (15 days as opposed to 6-8 weeks)  You will need a credit card to pay for it online.
