How can i get a cheap flight?

i'm looking to fly from chicago to the east coast for my sister's graduation, but i can't seem to find a deal in my budget even on expedia or cheapoair.....any suggestions?

Chicago to where east coast?  When?  Post this, and I'll be able to tell you if low-fare airlines are on the route (because they don't show up in other booking sites).  Meantime, try http://www.bookingbuddy.com and be sure to use "from" CHI which will check both O'hare and Midway at the same time.  Try nearby airports near your sister's school, and also on your end too--if you could use Rockford RFD or Milwaukee MKE for example, try those, since sometimes better fares turn up that way.  Bookingbuddy will check Hotwire, Kayak, Yahoo Farechase, airlines direct, lots of consolidators, sale fares, etc, etc all in 1 go.  But, airlines like Allegiant and Southwest don't show up there--that's why I asked for your exact route, and if I have the dates, I can check for you too.

look for a low cost  airline.........book as early as possible.....low cost airlines such as cebu pacific (philippines) will give you the lowest fare if you do that.......not only cebu pacific but other low cost airlines...you can also look for full service carriers offering promos such as buy-one-take-one...or book early online to get the lowest fare....

go to google and write cheap airline tickets from chicago to wherever...

Try http://www.southwest.com/ they've seemed to have been the cheapest for me.

I'll tell you where to find the cheap fares when you tell me where to find gas under $2 a gallon!  Get real.  After all, the airlines have to pay hyper-inflated prices for their fuel too!  Suck it up!

go direct to each airline the flys out of the airport you are leaving from. There should be a list at the site for the airport.

But sorry you are not going to get a cheap flight right now

planes use GAS too -ya know!
