How can i get a free second phone line?

You can't.  But the need for such is decreasing as people move to high speed internet solutions (with dial-up no longer being required), and many people are giving up on land lines altogether.  (I am not one of them -- yet.)

You need a special tool which may allow you to split the lines. I have one here at home, but I have not seen it yet since it's somewhere hidden (which is why I can't describe it). I actually have three phone lines free. However, doing so would entail you to have a converter per line for using a DSL connection. It's quite complicated to explain, and I doubt they have this converter commonly sold. We secretly got our three converters from the phone company itself through some connections.

Oh, and just in case you don't know (and just to remind you), yes, it's sort of illegal.
