How can i get a high speed internet provider to come out to my area?

when there are none in my area and i have satalite internet and hate it cuz it isnt fast enough for x box live

Most major services may simply not have gotten to the point to where they think its needed.  I used to live in a town of 10,000.  everyone had dial-up.  Well, the city next to us annexed us, making us part of their city.  Welcome high-speed internet!

It takes time for a company to set-up service in a low population area as they find that it will take more money to maintain than it would bring in.

Own the company lol... That's the only way you will get a major Internet provider to locate in area's not popular enough.
