Question:

How can i get a new cat we are taking in to be relaxed around rodents we currently have??

we are taking in a new older cat but already have rodents.. a degu and a chinchilla they are both caged animals and would never have them out at the same time but i wouldnt want the cat to hassle them or scare them.

  1. Good luck! The cat will go crazy around the rodents. However, not all cats are like this, it depends.


  2. keep them in seporet rooms or just give the cat a chance 2 get to no dem

  4. I honestly wouldn't be too concerned. I have four cats and two rats and there are no problems.

    As long as you don't let the rodents out when the cats are around and wash your hands in between handling all your pets should be fine.

    Also make sure your cages aren't in areas where the cats can poke through the bars when you're not around.
