  1. are they sweating ! they riding a good hand

  2. if they look like they are trying not to 'have a look', then they have a good hand. it's a sense.... maybe you should read a book called, 'the face'. it might help you read peoples cues better.

  3. Basically, there's 3 moves before the flop, 3 moves after the flop and 3 moves after a bet that anyone can do: call/check, raise, or fold. the combination and amount of these will tell you nearly exactly what someone has in their hand, unless they are a bluffer. there's not enough space here to go into all the details, but in general, nearly everybody does the same things on the same hand.

  4. many times, there is at least one player that you are with who is known as the "mouse". This person usually folds hands unless he or she has a good hand. if they decide to raise, that is a red flag to get out of the hand. There is usually a person who is a bluffer, but be careful! they will sometimes have a good hand. Watch the expression every hand without calling for a while to find out any pattern if they are bluffing or not. Also, some people blush slightly or their hands begin to shake if they have a rarely good hand. Watch for patterns of talking during decisions, movements, eye contact, and occasionally take a risk to verify your point. Now, to counter some bluffers, take the initiative and bet high before the flop. This way, there is no way of them knowing what kind of hand you may have. It could be anywhere from pocket aces to a seven-two off suit. Try this method out the next time you play and see how you do.

P.S. be careful with mirrored sunglasses. They really help with keeping people in the dark, but it also may show your hand.

  5. Always watch their eyes.

It irritates some players when you make eye contact with them.

  6. watch and learn!

Remember how the person acted during the hand after they have won or lost the hand, in time you will see similarities in their actions when they think they have good or bad cards.

Everyone is different, one persons chin scratch has different meaning to anothers.

If you play with a person for a while and take mental notes of their mannerisms and expressions you should be able to sus them out.
