Have you ever heard that saying "There's no free lunches."?  It's true.  The definition of a boat is "a hole in the water into which you throw money".  I have had "free" boats.  I have had cheap boats.  I also have expensive boats.  Right now I have one of each.  The free one is on loan from a family member and has my outboard motor to power it.  The "cheap" boat I have cost me $25 and I have, so-far, spent $125 repairing it and have a lot left to do.  My expensive boat is a 33' steel crew boat with a currently disassembled transmission.  I just finished paying it off.  I would probably be doing myself a favor by giving it away to someone for free.  They would have a free boat, but with the expense of fixing it.  Get my drift?  If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  It would cost me more to get rid of some of my boats than it did to buy them.

you can try posting to your local freecycle group - find it at www.freecycle.org but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for one...
