How can i get a static ip address for my wireless internet connection to boost my speed?

i dont know my ip address,preferref dns server.i am using my internet through blutooth device with my nokia n73.

Don't know if static IP will speed up access. On bluetooth it may well do, but usually not. It usually depends on where you are more than static address if you are in an area that the signal is weak you will experience slow or dropped connection whether you have a static IP or not. You can call your service provider and ask, but keep in mind it will cost something. This has to be set up by your service provider. Call them and ask for advice and if they suggest it then do it.

A static IP address will not alter your speed in any way whatsoever. It is only needed if you wish to run server processes where it is necessary to publish the incoming IP address. If you need this, contact your ISP. There is usually a charge for the service.
