 There are many initiatives opening of information assets undertaken in Italy by public central and local administrations . The first data store was that of the Italian region Piedmont , dati.piemonte.it , inside of which are cataloged open data stemming from the different regional authorities ( municipalities, counties , ...). After about a year after the birth of the data store also Piedmont , Emilia -Romagna , in October 2011 , publishes its online catalog of dataset ( dati.emilia - romagna.it ) .

 

With the launch of the portal dati.gov.it , which occurred October 18, 2011 , opened a new era for innovation and transparency in the public administration , route to the Italian Open Data . The process of managing the information produced is gradually evolving towards more open. To stay up to date on all the initiatives of Open Data started in Italy , drafting dati.gov.it has created a dataset that describes the data cataloged on the site and makes them more interpretable through an infographic . The dataset underlying computer graphics is periodically updated .
