How can i get an old butter stain out of my white shirt?

my shirt got stained at work and its my uniform is a white cotton fabric and the stains been on there for a couple of weeks anyone help?!?!?

Make a paste of baking soda and a liquid dish soap, such as Dawn (a great dereaser). Apply the paste to the stain and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Launder as usual.
