  1. what you do is, stay awake watching tv as late as you can, until you start getting sleepy, say 3am...

then set up a really annoying and loud alarm bell on your cell phone, and set the alarm time 3 hours after the time you slept, say 6am. and keep the cell phone about 3 meters or so away from your bed [so to turn it off, you have to get out of bed]. keep a bowl of cold water next to the alarm.

when the alarm rings at 6am, you'll have to get out of bed to turn it off because its so annoying, then after turning it off, throw the cold water over your face, then you'll wake up and not go back to sleep!

then just brush your teeth take a shower and everything, and try not to go back to sleep all day, no matter how sleepy u\you are, keep splashing your face with cold water, or watching t.v.

then you should sleep at about 7 or 8pm. do this about 2 days or one, and your cycle is back to normal

  2. I have the same problem.

I work 11pm-7am and on my nights off, I am so used to going to bed at 8-9am so it's hard for me to get to sleep early.

Try to limit yourself on computer time at night.

Turn the PC off no later than 9-10pm (depending on your school sleep schedule).

Leave bright lights off after 8pm, no caffeine, grab a light snack before bed.

Slowly, go to bed an hour earlier that what you have been for the summer.

If it's 4am, go to bed at 3, then 2 the next night, then 1, until you are gradually getting towards the perfect bedtime.

  3. sleep really late, force yourself to wake up early. do this for a couple of days and you'll start wanting to go to bed early again :)

  4. devote one night to staying up as late as possible, like going to bed at around 6-9am

wake yourself up at 3pm, and by 9-10pm you;ll be sleepy again.

that should regulate your sleeping pattern.

  5. Here's a quick tip :

Work your butt off all day when you decide you want to go to bed earlier, basically kill yourself with exercise heh.

That way you'll be so dead-beat at the end of the day you'll want to fall into bed and guess what... It's 10 PM :D

That's how I did it once.

Other than that, Just try to force yourself to wake up earlier than normal so that you will eventually nail that part of the sleeping schedule down and then the more you do that the more tired you'll get later in the day.

I hope that helps you out.
