  1. 4-9 pellets...thats pretty sad...check your choke...it might be too wide...change it to the medium....also could be the shot shells that your using...the cheap ones tend to scatter faster then the good ones...and its usually more accurate if you do reflex shots...no long pause shots...just a quick aim and pull.....

  2. Don't hold you breath, it elevates your heart rate. Try shooting on the exhale while holding the gun in tight to you shoulder, it should steady your aim

  3. get some glasses,4 to 9 pellets will kill most small game.if 9 pellet isnt enough get closer,

  4. Need further information from you than what you have given already to be able to help you.* Add additional information. It doesn't make any sense that you are only getting 4 to 9 pellets on the target.* How far away is the target that you are shooting at?* Are you shooting bird shot or buckshot?* More info please.*

  5. 4-9 pellets on the target at what range? what size target? what choke is in the barrel(s) of your shotgun? what kind of shotgun? What size shot are you using?

Have you "patterned" the shotgun? We need to know more to be able to help you.

    shoot safe

  6. You've certainly chosen quite a task for yourself. I suspect you're a fairly new shooter and somebody gave you bad advice to get a 410, which is an expert's gun to begin with, not a beginner's.

If indeed you are a fairly new shooter, the first thing I'd suggest is coaching. Even old pro's can benefit from it. The second is that you might consider getting rid of the 410 and getting something more suitable for your situation. When you move from patterning to actually shooting at things on the move, it'll only be more difficult. For the recoil-shy, 410 is never the answer; 28-bores use basically the same charge and have a friendlier pattern.

  7. It sounds like you're shooting at a stationary target, not one that's moving.    How are you pulling the trigger?  You could be pulling it in such a way as to make the shotgun move left or right, or even high and low.  Get a snap cap and put it in shotgun and dry fire.  You can tell if the shotgun moves when you pull the trigger.

  8. Forget aiming at paper targets. They are non reactive and you don't know if your hitting anything....... Put a steel target plate out at 50 yards (150 Feet).... Mount it so its hanging or swinging off some chain or cable..... Everytime you hit it you will hear it go plink!  I have a metal shop cut me up some 12 inch and 15 inch metal plates. I paint them white with an orange dot in the center....  When the bullet its the target it will blast the paint off on the spot you hit....... Eventually you will be able to go Bang - Plink!, Bang - Plink!, Bang - Plink!..... Work you way up to 100 yards... Its not hard.... The problem with paper is you dont know if you hit it at long distances.... You have to keep walking back and forth checking.....  If you cant find any flat plate steel then use milk or water jugs.... You might have to ask around but shoot those --- Be sure to clean up when your done.....
