  1. It sounds like you are making things way to hard. I home school my kids and they are done every day in less than 3 hours for the most part...here is some info that might help you

  2. Perhaps you're trying to do too much to get ahead faster. Instead you're falling behind.  You may need to drop a subject that isn't as important as the rest and do it later.

  3. You asked this question not that long ago. I remember answering it. At that point, you also said you had just gotten internet. And I believe you said you were on day 29. Only difference is that you wanted to be done by Dec. something. So, what's going on?

In any case, you have 51 days of schoolwork to do in 40 days if you don't take any days off (including holidays or weekends). Ideally, you would do 2 days worth of work each day until you were caught up.

  4. I do find it a bit troubling to hear that your mom does not know; two reasons actually, the first one being that she has not checked your progress, or to see if you need any assistance, second that you have kept this from her, and not told her the truth.

About not "getting smart" and telling you to turn off the computer, or put everything else on hold that seems to interfere with you staying on track and reaching your goal is not what I am going to tell you, that is something you should tell yourself, however that is not really necessary is it? you know that all ready.

So how do you get caught up? How about simply doing your best from here on, and either work through the summer, or take a few weekends; what ever it takes; home schoolers set their own pace, I don't think we can ever be behind, as much as we do not follow our own set schedule, and no one can help you with that but you.

  5. Give yourself a Time-Frame,as to how long you can safely afford to be on the computer; then stick with it.  Discipline Yourself.

  6. Make yourself a schedule. Figure out how much you need to do each day to reach your goal. Give yourself some breaks in between each subject, use a timer to remind you how long you have.

With my youngest, I have to give her a 10 minute break for every 45 minutes or so of work. We use timers though, to keep us on track.

    Good luck!

  7. Work from say 8 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon with just a few breaks. Work on weekends and during school breaks (Christmas). Goo luck. If you are determined enough, you will be able to do it!

  8. Pay someone to do the work for you.  If you can't afford that, the turn the computer off and get to work!!!

  9. what u need to do is take how much work you need to get done, and take the days you have left to do the work and divide your work up evenly for everyday and stick strictly to your schedule and u will catch up, which means u should do about 2-3 more hours of skool a day!!

  10. Ha ha you are just like me Im also doing online classes. Im in spanish two and Im behind too. What I did was I would spend a day or two working on one subject and nothing but school it is hard to stay on track but I really wanted a longer break from school. Good luck!!!!!!

  11. You have a very large course load and are planning on early graduation, so being "behind" may not be an accurate description of where you are.  However, if you don't take Christmas break, and you work on Saturdays and Sundays you can probably "catch up" if thats what you want to call it.

Also, you might need to do two days worth for a 10 or 12 days.  So all I can say is, "Turn off your computer, get to work."

  12. Try to get 2 days into one. You may be able to do this by doing 2 days work in one or two subjects and then do a couple of days work in another subject and just keep plugging away at it. You will also need to work at it on the weekends and during Christmas but you'll get there.

  13. Go on and tell your mom. She's your partner in this, not your adversary. Blame and guilt are pointless, right? So, just be honest and ask for help. You may need her over your shoulder just now to help kick start your work. Apologize for not telling her sooner and let her know right away how you intend to solve this problem.

Start by getting to bed early and getting up early. There is a feeling of renewal in that time of day that will give you an extra bit of hope. Have a pleasant, but quick breakfast. Plan a schedule by week, day, and hour. Make it reasonable. Don't try to be Super Woman. Schedule a full 8hrs. of studies everyday. Do at least 3hrs each day on the weekends. Don't try to go longer than that, just try to accomplish more in that time. Take a short walk three times a day to keep yourself alert and I think you'll start catching up in no time.

    Good luck!

  14. You will have to work through Christmas break to get to Day 80 by Jan 6.  Start with the stuff you know you can get done fast.  Get all that out of the way.  Then move on to the harder stuff.  Don't go out with friends very much til you are caught up.  Good luck.

  15. Try to set a realistic schedule and give yourself lots of leeway in the schedule.  Is there a comprehensive test that you will eventually have to take (to get credits)  or do you only have to complete assignments along the way?  If it's the test (which I imagine it is), you might try getting a study book for the subjects (something like Kaplan) which condenses the material and focuses on only important concepts; because let's face it, most of what we learn in school is extraneous details.  If there is a specific curriculum that you have to adhere to, I suggest that you plan ahead and pair hard concepts with easy concepts so that you do not get bogged down some days with very hard material.

    Hope this helps.

    Jim

  16. Time manage yourself better, if you really want to reach that goal, well get off your computer, you know what you have to do.  I don't know why you think someone has a better answer for you then what you already know. Your wasting time now , browsing the Internet.
