How can i get direction of north pole from my room ?

i have to do some meditation exercises, for which i need exact directions of north and south pole from my room, how can i get these with out campass.Thanks

Make a compass.  You need a needle, a small magnet, a bit of cork and a bowl of water.

The sun rises in the East and sets in the west.

Or if your quite the budding astronomer you could use the stars.

I would say that making your own compass would be the more fun option though ^ - ^

You will have to be quick however, the poles can reverse!

look out your window and take a look around, there are usually a lot of signs for where north is.  Satellite dishes usually orbit the earth around the equator to get the best coverage thus most dishes point south if you're in the northern hemisphere or north if in the southern hemisphere.

Moss will grow thickest on the northernmost side of trees (in the northern hemisphere) because the lack of sunlight keeps that side more moist.
