How can i get enough money to buy my dream horse?

i went to camp over the summer and the horse i rode is for sale, he is a paint, 4 years old and the owner wants 3500 dollars...plus all the care and board (board would be cheaper cause my friend owns the farm)....i am 16...

Well to be only 4 yrs old and used as a camp horse I would be very concerned,, But if you really want him Ask them if you can LEASE him for a while

That way you do not need to buy him and it helps the owner if you pay feed , Good for both of you ,,



I am very worried about 3,500 for a 4 yr old at as a camp horse, Get a vet ck for him o,k .. Even if she says he is fine Use a different vet then she uses; , Please,

Any way You will have to WORK very hard as long as you own him ,,

Maybe you can get a Job At your Camp ?

Then save your money from working,

Remember You have to take care of him and feed him

If you think the horse is going to sell fast then, ask your parents! Maybe you can work out some kind of arrangement and you can get a job and pay them back in installmets. or talk to the owner about leasing the horse. or rent to own!

Well, the most obvious answer is to get some kind of a job if you want him badly enough -- mowing lawns, picking up doggie doo, cleaning houses, babysitting, etc.  I did a lot of babysitting when I was your age to feed my horse, also gave riding lessons, cleaned other people's tack and stalls and volunteered to excercise their horses for them, pretty much anything I could do to support my 'habit', and I learned a lot along the way.  The best option would be if the seller is willing to let you work the horse off (or part of him anyway), by doing some of the above.  Hay is high and the horse market is low so it may sound good to him or her.  Good luck!
